I heard horns beeping and people from the neighborhood shouting “YEAH! ”... so I looked out the window to see what was going on. It turned out to be approximately 50 vehicles driving by with American Flags and Trump Pence flags waving.
I tried getting a photo but was obscured by the window screen. Frankly I was a bit late on the draw as well as it took a moment to process what it was that I was actually witnessing.

Why do they do that?
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:34 |

I’m guessing anyway.
Will report if and when the Biden convoy comes past.

When the news broke I wondered for a moment if Trumpers would start getting actually shaken and scared, but then I remembered that that requires the ability to feel emotions other than hatred and anger.

I like how there’s a misspelling right there in the title.

Oh my god.
America is in a pretty serious way

Yeah, I’d happily move to Australia or Canada right now if I could. But I suspect they wouldn’t want us.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:57 |

It’s scary that there are eve n fifty people that would do that.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 19:24 |

It’s tough eh. The rest of Australia doesn’t want us either, I’m lucky enough to live in the only part of Aus that’s severely fucked

I have a froend who recently moved to Australia and she is regretting it. And she’s European, not American.
Her neighbors called the cops on her for not wearing a mask while drinking coffee on her front porch.

Hell, Europe would be fine by me too. I love my country, but I actively dislike a lot of people in it.

It’s probably also worth mentioning that Australia has just over 27,000 confirmed cases in total . The last time the US had fewer than 27,000 cases in one day was back in June.

Nah, man. Al ways remember that Trumpophiles are working people like you who care about the country and want a better life for themselves and their children. I have several in my family, and I myself am Trump-leaning right now with my vote, despite The Donald’s numerous shortcomings . I’m pretty sure that I, my sister, my brother, my BIL, my cousins, we’re all decent people.
What you’re looking for is the part of the Venn diagram where racially and culturally intolerant people intersect with the population of Trump supporters. It’s not nearly as close an overlap as you might think.

So, are they at least staying in cars and not mixing?

You're going to vote for the man who has continually made public his disdain for people with disabilities?
![]() 10/03/2020 at 21:59 |

Where has he done that? Please tell me so I can look it up, because this is the first I’ve heard of such a thing.

Well there’s the time he mocked a disabled reporter on television during his 2016 campaign. Also the time he tried to defund the special olympics and called them “tough to watch”. Also the time he cut off health coverage to his grand-nephew with cerebral palsy over a spat with his nephew. Then there’s the medicaid cuts. And, that payroll tax cut he promised if he wins another term? Guess how SSI is funded.

I found myself recently in what i thought was a “filthy leftist hippie commun” called Washington state.
Last week i was driving through Leave
nworth, and there was a full blown trump rally in the side of the road, and people actually were honking thier horns for them.
Makes you think...

This was in Blaine, WA.

Isn’t that essentially Canada?
I drove through Camano Island today and saw quite a lot of “trump pence 2020" signs.
Where are all the “filthy hippies?”

Yeah, just a loooong line of beeping flag waving cars and a lot of hooting.
Later in the day I went for a walk and heard a beeping car coming up from behind. Slow on the draw with the camera again. I t was an early 2000's Buick with a large plywood sign on the roof that said “Make America Great Again” adorned with large flags and a vinyl decal which made it appear that Donald was sitting in the back seat smiling and waving to passerbys.
I couldn't help but smile.

So at least not dangerous, just noisy.

Is that it? I thought he was advocating rolling back the ADA or something.
I already knew he was an asshole with no filter. I knew that years before he became president. I’m not voting for him because I like him. Or rather not voting for Biden.
As for entitlement programs, they need overhaul, but they are political sacred cows, so they won’t be changing. That’s a non issue for my vote.
![]() 10/04/2020 at 02:11 |

Yeah, you definitely sound like a Trump voter :/
![]() 10/04/2020 at 18:12 |

This is the usual response I get. Rather than ask me why I make my choices, it’s easier to put me into a perceived stereotype so that I can be easily dismissed. It’s so much simpler to invalidate a person so that you don’t have to come out of your comfort zone and try to understand them, isn’t it?
So I guess the question now is, will you decide to end our internet friendship of several years over my political choice?
![]() 10/04/2020 at 19:48 |

There’s not much to try to understand here.
I’m going to vote for the candidate that’s not going to try to roll back my civil rights.
![]() 10/04/2020 at 21:32 |

So your mind is closed to my views. And you haven’t answered my question.
And I respect your decision to vote your principles. I also doubt that you can find one piece of legislation or administrative policy enacted in the last four years that has materially affected your civil rights.
